Quota®’s expansion into the UK is reflective of how most businesses these days recognise that the world is shrinking and our global markets are expanding.

Quota® is pleased to welcome our new United Kingdom Master Distributors: Martin Allison; Paul Bridel and Lorna Bainbridge.  Martin, Paul and Lorna are well-respected and globally recognised business leaders that bring a wealth of insight and existing penetration to the UK market.  We welcome their partnership with Quota® and know our combined efforts will provide many UK businesses with our unique solutions and sales development expertise.

Quota®’s expansion into the UK is reflective of how most businesses these days recognise how the world is shrinking and our global markets are expanding.  Currencies; trade; import/export balances and growing global demand are reflective of how the internet and social media have expanded our markets beyond traditional borders.

Commensurate with recognizing global opportunity is the need to recognise global limitations.  Shipping; travel; copyright protection and local political and trade practices can affect our transactions.  Having spent many years in international business, I have experienced the highs and lows of working with different cultures and business practices.

However, the question ‘To Globe or not to Globe’ is frankly moot.  Organizations that don’t recognise global opportunity are doomed to fall at the hands of competitors that do.  The questions we each have to ask ourselves are:

Do we have local expertise that are sensitive to local business practices?
Have we built in contingency plans for any dramatic changes to: government leadership; currency fluctuation; copyright infringement and payment processing?
Are we operating in our clients time zones and languages?
Have we mitigated customer delays in delivery/service/response time by localizing support systems?
Do we have an extraction plan should the market take a severe turn?

When all the planning is done…time to execute!  There is no better (and in my experience, fun!) way than to meet your international customers and hear first-hand how your product or service directly impacts their business.
